The department exercises regular updation about the latest technologies and field and research practices in Civil Engineering through the course curriculum, major and minor projects, industrial tours and development programmes to impart the emerging batches of Civil engineers with required quantum of knowledge helping in course of their bright future in field of engineering and research. The Civil Engineering department, JUIT has a great track record of students qualifying for reputed competitive exams after graduation such as GATE, MAT, GRE, etc.In continuation to the above and to strive in excellence the department of Civil Engineering of JUIT also offers M. Tech and PhD research programs. One of the programs being offered by the department is M. Tech in Environmental Engineering which started from the academic session 2014-2015. The main objective of the program is to develop competent professionals including consultants, scientists, and technocrats in the field of environmental engineering having requisite skills to solve complicated and practical problems, develop effective communication skills and can work in multi-faceted and diverse groups.
